SO, TPF! is back from the border. Two flat tires, cancelled show, ended up playing in an old abandoned house in the middle of the dessert sand at midnight within viewing distance of Mexico (awesome), played two songs in the backyard at this guy's mom's house until the vecinos complained, engine trouble, and our bass player, Justin, was held at border for 4 hours. We made signs for him to be released and sat out front of the border patrol inspection station, they made us do it across the street though. Justin't last name is Hand, that's why Merisa's says, "Handover out Hand" Ha! Crazy ass shit man BUT fun! Thanks Calexico and Mexicali that was insane. And did you know that Mexicali has a large Chinese population, there are tons of half Mexican half Chinese people. Oh and it's over 1,000,000 people big, wow!

SO, Ponytail has one of my favorite albums of this year. So fun and just plain good damnit. They stoke me out! I can't wait to see them at The Smell on 10/10. Watch this video and just feel good about it, it won't be hard. Deerhoof is also one of my favorites, lookin' forward to their new one big time. Here is a video for one of the track on it. They will be at the Avalon on 10/3. Yay, I love it! Oh, and TPF! is at The Airliner tonight (Thur) at 11:00 with some other good bands.

SO, my band TPF! played with my favorite LA band right now, Meho Plaza last night. Man, good songs. We have more shows in the works with these guys too. See them at Echo Curio on October 24. Here is a video by them and one by Duesseldorf's Huaschka. They will be at Largo in LA on November 22nd. Hauschka makes me all grown up. Maybe you will feel it too.
