No Age Strikes Again!

SO, No Age does very little wrong. This is a new video of theirs. I like it. They are honest and good. Thank You.

No Age: "Eraser"

Plants and Animals and Wolf Parade= Montreal Rocks

SO, went to see Montreal's Plants and Animals at Spaceland the other night, and wow, they were great! Really good live show. The album is pretty good but live they rock out more live. Also from Montreal is Wolf Parade who have a brand new album that is pretty damn good as well, they are playing that Sub Pop 20 year anniversary show that looks great! Here are two great videos from them!

Here is a silly video by them, not really a video really just a silly thing.

Wolf Parade: "I Believe in Anything"

Wolf Parade: "Modern World"

Yacht + Architecture in Helsinki = Buddies

SO, Yacht just played with Mika Miko in the OC. Is he good? Not sure? Video good? It's pretty neat I guess. His buddies Architecture in Helsinki are good, I like them quite a bit. Here is a neat video from them too. They have a bunch of cool videos, I may put more up soon because I am low on good videos lately. If you ever find some, hit me up and I will put them up and I'll give you a shout!

Gameboy/Gamegirl + The Pharmacy + Summer Vacation

SO, from Melbourne is Gameboy/Gamegirl. Good for summer dumb times. The Pharmacy is from Seattle and their video looks like those trips you took with your family in the summer back in the day.
I took a trip today as a matter of fact. I went to Redondo beach and ate at Mu Sha in Torrance. I laid of the beach for two hours and got cooked lobster style. OUCH.

Gameboy Gamegirl: "Sweaty Wet / Dirty Damp"

The Pharmacy: “Little Toys on a Shelf”

Port O'Brien + Thunderheist = Bonafide Videos

SO, Port O'Brien is good and they are playing at Spaceland on July 10th. Go.
Thunderheist is from Montreal and is good for hot summer days with your car windows down and turned up loud or in a hot sweaty club. Me likey and the video is just one hot lady and a chicken, oddly compelling stuff.

Japanther + Matt and Kim = Brooklyn Fun Times

Lord knows, LA could use it, 102 degrees tomorrow! Oh, and Matt and Kim are playing King King on the June 30th with The Death Set!

JAPANTHER: "CHALLENGE"

MATT AND KIM: "YEA YEAH"

Girls + Meho Plaza = Good CA Stuff

SO, instead of having another girl band/artist featured here on the channel I am going to write about a band named Girls and a band with a cute Asian keyboard girl, which is always a winning combo, called Meho Plaza. Girls are from SF and Meho Plaza is from here. They have videos. Here they are. Oh, and Meho Plaza is playing at the Echo on Saurday. I will be in Vegas with TPF! but you should go. Girls have no dates in LA yet but soon I bet.

Girls: "Morning Light"

Meho Plaza: "I Sold My Organs"

The Ting Tings + Goldfrapp + Metronomy = UK

SO, these three are all from the UK. Doing their thing. The Ting Tings song is pretty cool and fun, as is the video. Goldfrapp continue to make cool videos but I could care less about the songs. I was in Catalina island this past weekend, it's fun as hell over there, you got to go, it's a party. There was this chick riding this old fat board with bright green worn grip tape doing power slides and manuals, it was rad. The girl in this video is doing some old school too. Mmmmm, I wonder, hot indie girls on Sk8boards, a new trend. I would love to see like 3 or 4 Silverlake ladies pushing around town, kinda hot. Metronomy is fun, they have a rad video last year that I loved, this one is just silly but me likey.

The Ting Tings: "Shut up and let me go" (more clear version here)

Goldfrapp: "Caravan Girl"

Metronomy: "Holiday"

Lakers! Can they do the unthinkable?? Not with how they played tonight. Sure, they won but they are lucky, the Celtics are stronger and more team oriented. I say Lakers are done on Tuesday. But.....???!!!!!

Lakers + Muscles = Ain't Got None.

SO, Lakers blew a fucking 24 point lead tonight and they are now down 3-1. Fucked. I think it's kinda like this Muscles video for "The Lake", where you are having the time of your life then it all comes crashing down.

Muscles: "The Lake"

PS Crystal Castles show last night was pretty good, well... besides the rock star bull shit waiting an hour to get on the damn stage, jerks.

Wow! Crystal Antlers just got a 8.5 from Pitchfork! + Genghis Tron

So, I have followed LBC's own Crystal Antlers around for the past year, even my band TPF! played with them and now they got a 8.5 from Pitchfork, watch out, they gonna be huge! Good luck guys! I hope you can get bigger than even you arch enemies the Crystal Castles, whom I am going to see in a few minutes at The Roxy.

Here is a video from Genghis Tron to pump your ass up. I missed them last time around when they opened for Converge, we had a show, but next time it's a must! Rad video, go to Pitchfork TV to see it more clearly. There is just not enough balls out rock these days that's good. Here is you chance to hear some good shit so you don't lose that secret lust for metal we all have.

Genghis Tron: "Things Don't Look Good"

Sigur Ros + The BPA =Naked People

SO, here are some naked people having fun. This new Sigur Ros song is rad! It's not the best version of the video due to the fact that there are nudies in it and youtube don't like the nudies, if you want to see it nicely go to their website. The BPM song featuring David Byrne and Dizzy Rascal is whatever but it is a funny video with nudes so that can't be all bad.

Sigur Rós: "Gobbledigook" (YOUTUBE TOOK IT DOWN, NERDS)

THE BPA 'TOE JAM' FEAT. DAVID BYRNE & DIZZEE RASCAL

Ratatat + Munk + Those Dancing Days = 3 Different Videos

So, these three have nothing in common or I guess we could find some commonalties but screw it. First, Ratatat's new video, it's neat in the low brow kind of way I like. Second is Munk from Germany, trippy dude. Third is this girly pop band from Stockholm called Those Dancing Days that has these young lookin' girls playing this polished indie pop, fun to watch.

Ratatat: "Mirando"

Munk: "The Knights Of Heliopolis"

Those Dancing Days: "Run Run"

GO LAKERS!! PS. I will be out for a couple days. Goin' to MN for an extended weekend. Later!

Abe Vigoda + The Muslims + Crystal Antlers = Good Show.

SO, these three bands played at Pehrspace the other night. It was fun. It's BYOB there, we chose Sparks and Modelo, a perfect match. All three were good good good. Michael from Videothing was there and I helped him film some of the bands, I hope it turned out ok. There may have accidentally been some balls recorded, oooops. So, here are some pics(from top to bottom it goes Abe, Muslims, Antlers) and video from them. These three bands may be huge later this year, watch out!

Abe Vigoda: "World Heart"

The Muslims: "Extinction"

Late of The Pier + Mystery Jets = UK 80s

SO, these UKers are going insane 80s on us all. I swear these two videos look so.......80s. Weird shit. I like the Late of The Pier song and video but their friends Mystery Jets have taken it too damn far for me.

Late of The Pier: "Focker"

Mystery Jets: "Two Doors Down"
